How changing plans is charged

Moving up on the same billing cycle costs only the difference between the two plans, for the days left in the term you already paid for. Your renewal date does not move.
Going from monthly to yearly starts a fresh subscription, and your unused time carries over as free days before the first charge. Going from yearly to monthly waits for renewal, so no paid time is lost.
Moving down, or cancelling, is free and takes effect at renewal — you keep the plan you paid for until the last day.
Renewal charges the full price of whatever plan you are on when the term ends.
The free Ultra day is once per account and takes no card. It ends on its own and drops you back to Free — subscribe during it and you pay the full price from that moment, with no credit for trial time.

You'll be asked to make an account first.
